Can't create an account. Help please?

I've installed PlanetSide 2 through Steam and then I needed to create an account. I filled out all the information (station name, password, e-mail etc), pressed the big orange button at the bottom that says 'play free' but literally nothing happens. It doesn't take me to another page or sends me a verification E-Mail...nothing.

Anyone know why? Any help would be much appreciated, thank you.

I have an account but can't get in the game at the moment. There is a Marketplace maintenance as the publishers announced but I believe there is a bigger problem they have to deal with. There are a lot of players having problems about logging-in and registering and stuff... IDK what to do for now tho.

It's weird though because I don't get any error message or any other message whatsoever. I can click the 'play for free' button as much as I want, nothing happens... :/

RoyalWelsh just saying it works now helps nobody. you dont say what you did to fix the problem or what had been the issue.

:/ I literally did nothing to fix it. One minute it didn't work, the next it did. Don't know why, just did, it's still a pretty buggy game. End of.

If i never had the problem to begin with, why in the hell would I waste my time posting in this forum looking for a solution...

Just finished downloading the game but am unable to create an SOE acct. at this time.
Is this a common problem for this game?

exactly, why would anyone post here unless they have a fix or are in need of one.

dont matter anyways, i uninstalled the stupid game. didnt work for months so IT is the thing not worth it, not you helping someone.

from my understanding it only happened to new accounts. it was the server that managed the account creation that was at fault. it had nothing to do with the login process rather the creation process.

hope that helps someone. if it does, it does, if it dont, i dont know what to tell ya but do what i did and uninstall and forget it.

I used to play this game some time ago, almost a year, but not with steam. I saw the game the other day in the steam shop so I decided to download it, but now i can´t log in in the game. I can log into the webpage, but if I try to recover my password it says that my account name does not exist. Anyone knows wth is going on???
