Error (2001) HELP

When I l aunch the game through steam I get the message "Error, A system error has occurred. Please try again later. (Error 2001)"

Is anyone else getting this message? I'm pretty sure it's not server maintenence because that's on tuesday.

It did not do this yesterday. The maplestory.nexon.net forums are no help and there isn't a help topic for it. I always get screwed out of events by stuff like this.

----So this works for other steam games. re-name clientregistry.blob, and steam will attempt to update games without deleting local content. my guess is steam is checking for the version update for after server maintenence tomorrow, even though it hasn't happened yet. That's my guess, nexon breaks things like this all the time. I'm going to check this out. If I don't reply then it must have worked. Otherwise I'll be furious and right back here.

and the client registry change name thing dosent work so i think its somthink to do with nexon
because so many people havve it. at least were not alone on this problem

I noticed the same thing, one way to bypass (worked for me) is to go to on your computer "C: Program Files: Steam: steamapps: common: Maplestory" then clicked on GameLauncher! Good luck!

I thought I was the only one, I kept getting the message, I was training my DK during the 2x event but the game suddenly crashes, when I went to go re-launch it, it gave me the Error:2001
