There is an IP block in place for people outside NA to play the NA version on Steam. I'm playing the NA version on Steam and I live in Europe.
Because of me having pre-blocked accounts, I can access the japanese, korean, global and european versions of MapleStory.
Two of them are availible through Steam. The NA (Global) version and the japanese version.
He might just be asking in the Steam forums to be able to play any other version. However, it's not likely. Since most people only play one version of Maple. And he has playtime on the global version.
But please, use the quoting system next time. It was a miracle that I managed to reply to you. I've disabled any form of activity feed unless it's from quotes.
Your CPU (Processor) can't install it? ....... You mean that your CPU doesn't meet the minimum requirement?
Your computer must be from like 1995 or somethin' :P
It's able to install other things that use the same format and the same sort of client but for some reason Maplestory is an exception. I'm getting close to figuring it out though. Thanks for all the help ^_^
You seem to not understand what a CPU is.. As far as i know there isn't any other program that uses .wz (Wizet) formatting files. Client, probably.
The reason it's not working is either
1. Corrupted download, wont be able to install properly.
2. Not enough disk space, which corrupts the download.
3. Internet connection suddenly stopped.
4. Something is wrong with your Pando Media Booster software. You should probably un-install it. It'll be installed again when you download MapleStory.
Of course there can be other issues as well. Specific to your computer. These are just the general problems with downloading anything pretty much. Lots of people have problems with Pando Media Booster. Useless software if you ask me.
No. Firewalls doesn't block the download halfway through. Unless he has the specific ports blocked. And these kinds of ports are near impossible to find. And the block initiates whenever it wants to, it doesn't add up.
Default Windows Firewall doesn't block these kinds of downloads anyways. It might block the actual game, but not the downloader. Which is, in this case, Pando Media Booster.
He might have blocked Pando Media Booster. It's very unlikely. When the software is installed, the ports are opened for it. So it shouldn't be blocked.
Glad I helped!
Try throwing it out the window..
You have to be a little bit more specific than that ._.
