Best gear???

Currently a battle mage, whats the best gear i can get in general (Also looking for lvl 90 gear thanks).

You should't worry about gear pre 140, the best gear you can get it's mixed in fact, but mostly consists of:
CRA set, 150 set, 4 parts (top, bottom, hat and weapon) if you're playing in reboot then you can only get this at lv 180 and after killing Root abyss bosses 10 times each (1 time each boss a day, takes 10 days to kill them 10 times) if you're not on reboot you can buy them at auction house.
(look for royal, trixter, eagle eye and fafnir items)

Absolab shoulder/Gloves, you can get these at lv 200 by dilligently doing the daily quests, takes about a month of dailies to get both (Both, 10 days each)

Gollux set, which is 4 parts too, 1 ring, 1 earring, 1 belt and 1 pendant, if you're in reboot you can buy extra pendant slot which you can fill with an extra pendant (that way you can replace either the earrings or the belt) the superior set is the best, it's 150 (takes a while to get tho)

Tyrant boots/shoes/gloves You can get these from hard magnus at 175 (in reboot, in other servers you can buy them in auction house), they're extremely expensive to upgrade, but have the best bonuses individually.

Those are the best options for items, you should also cube them, till unique tier at least.

If you can't afford the CRA set, there are 2 alternatives (varies depending on server)
In reboot you can get pensalir set (140 set, 6 items, cape, overall, hat, boots, weapon) this is pretty popular, since it's level gives decent potential options and helps you until you get to 180 where you can get CRA set.

In normal servers, you could try for Ranmaru set (another 150 set, which is easier to get, the name's are rare, they're based off japanese deities) it can take a while to get, but it also helps (can be also obtained at 180, but you can buy at in other servers)

Edit: You can also use pensalir set on servers other than reboot, since it's pretty easy to get.

thanks man appreciate it, but im playing in reboot and i can only get it at lvl 180, what should i do for gear before that

As i've said, at 140 you can use Pensalir set, it's pretty easy to get (all monsters above 135 drop it) and use cubes to get nice potentials on it, you should also get yourself a guild that carries (that way you'll get the CRA set at 180 or so, if lucky)

Before 140 you shouldn't worry about your equips, there's a set every 10 levels, but from 100 to 140 you'll level so fast, you'll be changing your equip constantly through grinding, so, focusing on gear pre 140 it's just a waste of time and money, a decent weapon to use from 110 to 140 is zakum poisonic staff, it should eventually drop from normal zakum, and it's stats are pretty nice.
