Eyefinity and Surround support?
Has this been discussed? As in, will the HUD be centered in middle monitor and the left/rights expand the view?

Shogun 2 did not support and I was a bit let down not being able to utilize all 3 monitors. This game really could use it as the battlefields are so huge it'd be friggin awesome if this will be implemented properly.

Rome 2 will not have multimonitor support. Official answered by CA. Sorry

Bah, that's unfortunate. In this day 3 montiors is pretty common, and afordable.

Too bad for you. LOL.

Ignoring the comments made here, the game does have multi monitor and eyefinity support. Currently playing on three monitor portrait eyefinity. The UI is centered on the center monitor. The only issue that I have is that UI elements that "should" be on the other monitors (such as city names) all appear on the center monitor as well. This leads to city names floating everywhere but the city they represent.

Not sure what your asking but I run triple screen and nvidia surround, the unit cards are cetnered in the monitor and mini map bottom left other stuff top and bottom right. Seems to work fine for me.

Got the units cards hidden in this one but shows where they all get placed with surround gaming

It just quoted the official statement from The Creative Assembly. Perhaps you should go to tech support section on totalwar.com or twcenter.net and report this news.

Thanks Shodan and michaelfeb16 - Center UI is what I was hoping. Gonna try it out now.

ultrawide resolutions work for me with nv surround however the UI elements are NOT centered on the middle display, it's quite the pain to move all the way to the far corners of the outside displays.

Not to even consider the extremely poor performance in such modes.

You're right, I noticed the UI is on the far side of screen. Tho, I've gotten used to it, it still isn't ideal. I've actually been playing 150+ turns in ultra widescreen, and the map is pretty laggy :(

I am currently playing on 3 monitors, in 5040x1650. It works, the UI is mostly centered (unit cards etc), most options you will actually click on the world map too.

I give it a A-.

And BTW- I played shogun in eyefinity (see my screen shots) with little to no complaint, the ui centered for me! You may want to go back and play again.

Shodan's screenshot matches my experience as well, and it is unacceptable that this is the case with the game. If a tiny company like Eugen can make Wargame: Airland Battle support multimonitor with a correctly aligned UI, then a veteran developer like CA should certainly be able to.

The only thing preventing them is the laziness that comes from using the old Empire engine and not wanting to put the time into developing something that is becoming increasingly common.

I recently made a bunch of screenshots with widescreen setup. You can see the UI elements in some pics http://steamcommunity.com/id/buckybit/screenshots/#scrollTop=262

Not centered for me using NV Surround... not sure why for some it is and other it is not. I've tried windowed and fullscreen mode... the UI is on the far corners.

It only works for Eyefinity people. Rather lame.

Edit: You can check it out here: http://www.wsgf.org/dr/total-war-attila/en

Same applies for Rome II.
