Remember when you finished Medieval 2 and it unlocks all other faction?
Is there a similar reward in Rome 2 ? i never finished a campaign cause it's boring. Just curious if they have something like this.

DLC, but if you find it boring I can't imagine you would want to spend the extra money. Frankly I always used the registry hack in Medieval 2 to access the other factions, and buy DLC now. :P

Nope, but you'll get a nice achievement (Hard-, Very Hard-, Legendary campaign victory) on your permanent virtual Steam game play record ;-)

Yeah it sucks that instead of unlocking the other factions after beating the game they now make us buy them as DLC if we want them. You can thank SEGA for that move. SEGA started that crap on Empire & it keeps getting worse... :(

Tenative test in empire, successful... shogun 2 they loaded it up, also very successful. We had it coming.

No "lollypop" at the end of this game. Sure was nice before gettin' a little reward for actually finishing the game.

You better lube that ass up boyo, because Sega is coming in hard!

I know your right. I am as just as guilty as anyone. I can't keep from buying the extras myself...

I just feel really empty after finish a campaign in Shogun 2 and Napoleon. Like there's nothing at the end. In Shogun 2 , the game is pretty much finished after you survive the realm divide. In Rome 2, It just feels like there's no sense of achievement.

That is not true for me. I still haven't ever completely maxed out any factions yet. To me that is what makes it worth it to keep playing. I got real close to completely maxing out Baktria just once. Unfortunately an update ruined that campaign. I was well over 200 turns in... :(

Yeah, but no way when you bought a DLC for a few colourful individual regiments in Empire - would you have ever thought it would lead to whole hunks of generic game content from Rome2 being parsed out in DLC form.
And in Shogun2 the "clan" DLC came with serious Culture and Religious aspects as well as a well-defined "character" in terms of Clan Strategy and Unique unit tactics. You didn't feel like you were unlocking with money just a truly minor faction; but rather a full-fledged contender with it's own organic agenda to rule all Japan.

TBH, I like it the way it is in R2. Those achievements sometimes keep me going or force/convince me to try something new. Also don't forget that in R2 you start with roughly the same number of playable factions for free that you had in M2 after the expansion. That is good for altoholics like me. Because I tend to play several campaigns in parallel.

I really hope you are sarcastic here.
