The Lord of the Rings Online™

Download help
I already have the game because I didn't download it through steam, and I want to be able to play it through steam, but steam won't allow that because it doesn't know that I already have the game. Fix?

click "Add a game" and follow the directions
Usually in the lower left of the main Steam Window.

Yes, I know how to do that, but I want it so that steam thinks I got it through them, and not through turbine.

There have been discussions about how to do that before on the forum.
I believe it comes down to starting the download from Steam, then stopping it. Then move all files over from the original installation path to the Steam installation path.

I don't know if it works.

But why would you want to link LotRO to Steam? There are no achievements or stuff like that, and updates are done outside of Steam anyway.

I prefer the in game overlay. It allows me to browse game news, screenshots and guides while I'm smelting 284 copper chunks into ingots

I either get something to drink/eat then, or chat with my kinmates, but yours is a good idea as well :-)

I could do that, but why not both?
