Problem remapping controls.
So I have two PS2 controllers connected to my PC using a USB converter and everything seems fine. I am able to remap the controls in the Config Tool but when I get ingame, it seems to ignore everything I have set in the Config Tool...

Any ideas?

Have you checked going into a race to see if your control settings are still ignored?

Yeah, I know the controls are ignored to start with because I have remapped the Start key to... the Start button but the game seems to think it is the Triangle button...

Is this actually in a race, or just on the menu screen? I know there is an issue with some DInput controllers - the game uses default binds for menu actions, but in game respects the configuration.

Strange. Can you check if the config tool is matching the button presses in config to the button numbers in the Windows Game Controller properties?
You may have to resort to an XInput emulator like x360ce.
