Open Challenge #5

The last one's never gonna get completed, so I might as well make this.

Part 1- Get a time of 1:01.000 or less with Gillius at Seasonal Shrines Mirror.

Part 2- Head to Options->Controls, and turn both Invert Flight & Invert Stunts off. Then start a single race at Dragon Canyon Mirror on Expert and win without using items. Can only use the following characters:

BD Joe (Balanced)
Shogun (Acceleration)
Alex Kidd (Balanced)
NiGHTS (Standard)

Part 3- Complete the Traffic Attack event 'Mara-Car Madness' at Superstar Showdown on Expert, using Knuckles(Standard). Cannot fire any rockets. (Can turn the Inverted Controls off if you want)

Rules:
1. Must record everything, including the options part using a screen recording program like fraps & upload it to Youtube. Feel free to record the screen using something like a camera if you want as well, just make sure it comes out good.
2. Parts 2 & 3 can be done in any order. You must do part 1 first though.
3. No exploiting

Do all that, and you win a free gift. Any one of the following:

Divine Divinity
Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands
Prince of Persia (2008)
Portal
Left 4 Dead 2

Why does this part matter? The controls are the same just reversed, neither setting gives any advantage or handicap? What am I missing?

Just try playing a flying level like Adder's with Invert Flight off. You'll see.

But what if the person already plays with invert-flight off?
What if that's how they started and what they're used to?

You might as well add "must get hit by a Twister during an air-section" in there if that's what you're going for.

If that's the way they play, then they're in luck.

The last gate in the traffic attack gets me everytime. The dragon canyon race is proving to be, as expected, quite difficult;have only come in first once(and I always have inverted controls off, so I'm already at an advantage, probably wouldn't even try if I had to turn them on). The Time Attack is just getting boring; I can do it pretty much every time, so it's no longer a challenge, just redundant.
PS Why so surprised no one has completed it? Your very first statement is that this will never get completed. lol.
Edit* never mind I think i read that wrong...you were saying the nightmare challenge 2 wont' get completed. My mistake.

How on Earth can you prefer inverted flight off? Doesn't feel right for me at all.

& yeah, was referring to the last one, mainly because nobody can do traffic attack without getting hit at least once.

Idk I guess because I've only ever played that way so that's what I'm used to. I might ask the same thing to people who use the right stick to stunt and the triggers for accel and drift...I just set my controls up initially to mimic the gamecube controller when I play MKwii and it's worked for me thus far. I suppose we all have our own way of playing. It's awesome we have the options to setup up our controls to best suit our own playing style.

Jesus! Won the race thanks to last second wasps, and came within microseconds of losing the Traffic Attack after mucking up the last checkpoint. Well played!

I only won the race, i think, 4 times and each time it was based on luck pretty much. That is a tough track, even with items, for me anyways.

I did mess up in the traffic attack a few times. Like I said that last gate is brutal. That wasn't my best, but at least I got a pass. A few times it seemed like I made it through the gate but didn't get it, that was a bit frustrating. I do enjoy the traffic attacks though.

The time attack was actuallly a little easy this time, as you see I did it without even using the 2nd lap/boost from 1st, but thats ok because the last two challenge time attacks were way to difficult for me. I suppose we are all better at certain tracks.

Fun challenge overall. :)
