Time Attacks Expert ghosts flippings and Player ghosts speed

Another question, heh!

1. I'm trying to beat the Expert Ghosts in Time Attacks. I won some races, but some of them I miss like 1 or 2 seconds. I've been noticing the Experts ghost flipping a lot while in Plane Mode. Is there any advantage doing so? I've tried, it's quite an advanced technic drifting and flipping alltoghether >.<

2. Player ghosts... WTF? Are they cheating or something? Playing Sonic in Speed Mod, I can't even follow their traces. It's like they were using an All-star all the race long. Is there something I didn't understand in the game? I mean, some of the tracks, I'm doing really well, beating the Expert Ghost. But hey, they manage to finish more than 10 seconds faster!

3. Graveyard Gig. I beat the Hard Ghost, get a Gold Medal, no medal on the track menu. ?

EDIT 4. What is exactly the good way to drift from one side to another? It's no easy feat. Sometimes I get it, but I don't know if I'm doing it well.

1. Ghost is most likely Risk Boosting. Flip away from a wall or obstacle just before you hit it to get a free boost. It's abit of an awkward mechanic, but it works.

2. Probably cheaters. You can go fast when using a boost just before crossing the line (and get a boost pickup right after), but some are even faster than that, so that's pretty much cheating.

3. Try beating the expert ghost and see if the medal appears then. I haven't experienced this myself however.

1. If you roll away from a close wall or object without crashing you will get a risk boost. Try doing risk boosts whenever you can.

2. Yes there are quite a lot of cheating players on Time Attack. In the next update the leaderboards will get reset and Valve Anti Cheat will get added. This should hopefully keep them away.

3. I don't know if you're supposed to see the medals on the track menu, but that might just be a bug. Not much to worry about.

1. i've beaten all but 10 staff ghosts without even knowing about 'risk boosting'.. (ill try it)

2. yes they're cheaters, and should be punished. therefore....

this needs to happen... banning a steam account (and robbing them of ALL there associated steam library) is about as tough as it gets on a digitial delivery platform, and valve need to set the industry standard imo... it cannot be tolerated :/

i've 185 games on steam atm. and i certainly wouldn't risk losing all of that just to get good at SART... wtf :/

instantly! :D

if you practice there's no need to let go of accelarate at all... just let go of drift (very very very briefly) whilst switching the other way...back, and forth, and back, and forth...

you can hold a lvl 3 boost round a whole lap if you try! :D
