[Tool] Change AI count of races

Hi guys,

A lot of you probably know me as the only person who really tinkers with this game. I've been hesitant to release things, but I've seen something that's been requested a lot (albeit in some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ way): the ability to change the number of AI participating in a race.

Here's the tool!

This currently only works in Single Race. It will also work for a Custom Game single race (online), however please ensure that every player has the same number set, else BAD THINGS HAPPEN.

Yes, this is VAC safe. This tool does not interface with the exe in any way, nor is it required to run while you're playing the game. It will not have any effect during Matchmaking.




How this works

-Make sure the game is closed.

-Run the program from anywhere. It will pick up your Transformed installation folder, or ask you where it is if it can't find it.

-Choose a number.
This number is the total number of racers that you would like in a race eg. If you set 5, and you play with two players, there will be 3 AI in the race (2+3=5). If you would like to play with no AI, and you're the only one playing, then set 1 as the number.

-Click "Set". If all goes well you'll see "Success!" and you can then close the tool and play Transformed like normal.

-When you want to change it back to default, open the tool again and click the "Restore Default" button. Bam! Back to normal.



For the more technically inclined:

All this does is modify a single file in your SASRT folder (GameData.m00) and changes a byte value at 0x000F8B0C for you. It will also back up your current, original file as GameData.m00.bak, and restore it if you click "Restore Default".

Tested some races with the set 1 AI, the tool works perfectly, the races had just only me. If someone want to practice more easily, this tool is recommended to use.

Free cam or FoV/angle adjustments for the chase cam?

Camera movements with speeds, horizontal (yaw) and vertical (pitch) rotation and zoom in-out.

this won't be able to be changed in order for it to be used in GP would it? the tool is all fine when it's used in the modes you specified, but it should stay away from any ranked matches.

It currently does not work in GP though it'd be trivial for me to change.
The obvious problem is the leaderboards will be affected by it.

damn it, GP is the main mode I play and I spent so long getting all my times under the 100 person mark due to those bots suddenly pulling magic out of their butts.

It opens the browse folder tab; once the ""ASN_App_PcDx9_Final"" is checked... the tool closes.

Running the tool again, do the same thing (ask wheres the game directory).

Closed the game and even steam, but that message keeps popping up every time i open the tool and select the installation folder
