Factions Question

Is there a way to change factions without creating a whole different account?

Yes. Click on the button at the top: Contracts. If you click on one of the other factions, i.e. Legion, Tech, etc, and choose to sign new contract. This will cost credits, and you will not gain the benifts of the main faction. I.e. you decide to sign with the Empire, from the Federation, you will not get loyalty bonus, you will stick with the benifits of your "origin". However, you keep your previously owned ships, and will always have access to them, although you may not purchase ships from your former faction. When signing with a new faction, you will start from the ground up, starting with reputation level 1. You will keep the implants from your former faction, although you can pay credits to change implants from one faction to the other. Hope this helps.
