Partial controller support?
I'm about to buy this game and i'm just wondering what this means. I've read a lot of compltains about how bad of a port this game is, and i noticed it says "PARTIAL" controller support. I have an xbox controller, and i've used it on games like assassin's creed, it works flawlessly. How well does it work for this game? only partially? i've read there are updates and what not, how CLOSE to the actual XBOX game can you get this to work on PC if you use an xbox controller? thanks for any information.

A little better actually. The controller has to be a wired one for some reason and it throws a fit when you have other peripheral input devices attached but other than that it`s a better version of the game.

PArtially supported in this instance probably refers to the game ONLY supporting wired XBOX controllers and KB+M

I had a lot of trouble with my wired 360 controller and this game. It's worked for every other game I own (that requires controller...because I normally don't use controllers since keyboard and mouse are infinitely superior, but I digress), but this one was difficult. I ended up having to disable several devices before the controller worked. I've got a G11, G13, Naga, tablets, etc. After unplugging or disabling a few devices, it started working. I am not sure which one was the culprit, I think it was my Wacom Tablet.

i think itsays that because it wouldnt work properly with steam big screen since the home button would open the steam overlay along with the gfwl menu

The only time I've had to use anything other than a controller is during character creation, when I'm typing the name of my character. Otherwise the Xbox 360 (wired) controller has handled everything.

I have a Logitech PS-style controller. Works like a charm except that all the keys are mapped horribly--A, B, X & Y are all jumbled. Menus are the the joy sticks and there is no way to remamp them from the in game menu.

I had to go thorugh this as well. I ended up disabling Human Interfaces for device controllers and it ended up working.
