The only OP faction in my opinion are the Techion, they just need their armour weakened a touch and they'll be good to go
Also, if you feel like you can't take them, take their weapons instead, but remember they could have a sidearm, and if they get in cqc they could crush you because they are pretty heavy.
Their weight is both advantage (in CQC) and disadvantage - they have problems in rougher terrain, since their jetpacks can't offset their weight.
They are quite pricey too, though I'm not sure how AI handles it.
Their weapons are powerful and accurate, but have lower ROF than, say, Ronin M16.
As for the taking out several brains with one, that's not unique to them, it isn't hard to do it with all of the factions (tip: get a sniper rifle and grenades)
I have to agree I played with them in a snow map and it took me ages to get anywhere.
