Browncoats overpowered of is it just me?
I play the browncoats and sometimes I think mabye they are overpowered when I can use 1 to take out 3 brains. Is this just me or is it the faction? This is not meant to be a hating post it is hard to decide because I do not know.

Any people who know or can tell me would be nice I am sorry I am a noob at this game so I have little imformtion about the different factions except from what I have experienced in game.
Fellow noob here. I played a few of the survival maps and it seems that the borwncoats have good overall armor. Certanly much better then the dummy bots or ronins. They also cost more thou, so I guess tihs is suppsoed ot balance it. I have not played enough to know if I think it does or not :)
Thanks I assume that is correct because once their armor is down they are vulnerable and take a considerable amount of damage. Thanks I found the info on the wiki but thanks for the help you were correct.

I think the techion are stronger being fast and strong is a winning combo
it can be done with any faction really, I just finished a 3-1 campaign in the enemies favor as the dummies for example, the metagame isn't very hard once you surmount the cliff face of a learning curve.
The only OP faction in my opinion are the Techion, they just need their armour weakened a touch and they'll be good to go
Easiest way to take out brown coats ive found is to snipe their heads, never takes more then a few shots. But yes I'm pretty sure they are the most armoured units, I've noticed their armor comes off during damage though so I'm thinking there might be weapons better for removing armor then others. I assume shot guns.
Against Browncoats (and against most armies...) always aim to the head, usually when the helmet is removed the head goes boom, if not, just keep shooting until they die.

Also, if you feel like you can't take them, take their weapons instead, but remember they could have a sidearm, and if they get in cqc they could crush you because they are pretty heavy.
Yes, they are pretty tough, but they have some weaknesses:

Their weight is both advantage (in CQC) and disadvantage - they have problems in rougher terrain, since their jetpacks can't offset their weight.
They are quite pricey too, though I'm not sure how AI handles it.
Their weapons are powerful and accurate, but have lower ROF than, say, Ronin M16.

As for the taking out several brains with one, that's not unique to them, it isn't hard to do it with all of the factions (tip: get a sniper rifle and grenades)
Thanks for the info. It seems balanced I just did not know because I am inexperienced at this game and only have had a few experiences with some of the factions. Conclusion all factions have sepreate pro's and cons like techions with their great tech or browncoats armor.

Hahahaha fight em in the snow, its hallarious!
I must say that for their balance, Ronin seem to be kinda OP in metagame. For some reason they rape every other AI faction in battles, so you'd have to play the Space Police to them to stop them from dominating everyone else. Guess that's because of the low price but good weapons.
"Hahahaha fight em in the snow, its hallarious!"

I have to agree I played with them in a snow map and it took me ages to get anywhere.
Been playing since the early builds over half a decade ago. The browncoats weren't around for very long, their weapons were only added in the last year or so, but its the fact that they're really expensive if you want to fully-arm a browncoat soldier. They can usually be taken down by three well placed Coalition soldiers.

The heavy browncoats have very good armor and high HP compared to most other units, except techion and coalition. But they have very weak jetpacks and they are slow. On the other hand their guns are all short range and crap, the trailblazer rifle is pretty good. Surprisingly good and usually kills a coalition heavy in one clip. Unfortunately all the other guns are pretty terrible since they are short range, all have low clip capacity and rely on incendiary instead of fragmentation damage like the other high tier weapons of other factions. They're pretty expensive too. The most balanced of the lot seems coalition, they get some very powerful high tier weapons. (I'm looking at you ubercannon.) But really start to suffer indoors and at bunkers, though they do have access to the heavily armored dreadnought. Its not very good at navigating bases since it has no jetpack and is mostly a brain defense/fire support role because of the long spin up time. So they have a little trouble dealing with bunkers. Out in the open they are great though, the coalition assault rifle is dirt cheap, accurate and surprisingly effective at taking down browncoats head armor.
Techion units are a good balance of cost and armor. The silverman can't bleed out which is sometimes useful for squeezing out a little extra firepower before it gets blown to bits but not always. Their weapons all suck badly except for the nanorifle and pulse rifle. Generally they are moderately priced and very fast, light moving units but I don't like playing as them because they seem underpowered compared to the other factions. They also lack equipment so unlike the coalition you don't have access to a broad range of stuff and it becomes expensive. On the other hand they do they get the only tool in the game that can cut through bunker metal girders like a hot knife through butter. Makes it very easy to assault enemy brains if they aren't placed very smartly.
