What am I missing?

Everyone keeps praising this game for being so good, but this was one of the worst games I've ever played. It's ugly, dull, and the combat literally consists of left-clicking on enemies and watching one attack animation play over and over. How is this fun?

You're comparing apples to oranges. Neither of those games are 3D action games. So please use real arguments.

Let's talk about witcher
For it's year of publishing it's very good graphics
Combat system includes left-clicking only on the easy difficult, on hard it's all about tactics
AND last is that this game has one of the coolest history in game world
