Azar Javed fight is bull****

Is it just me or did the game suddenly **** the bed at the end? This fight is ridiculous - automatic knockdown and blind(I spend half the fight just watching him hit me - how fun!), tons of damage, Berengar dies instantly...what was the point of him even being there? Oh and 50% of the time I cannot cast any spells. Really hoping Witcher 2 is better than this!

No. It's a typical bossfight in TW1/2/3. On the first sight it seems to be very, very hard or almost impossible, but as soon as you have learned what to do it's much easier.

The key to this bossfight is willow (immunity to stun and knockdown effects). The rest is a question of skilling. If your Geralt has no special abilities, then Aard will help a lot.

Berengar is designed to die in this fight. But it's even possible to save him; for this reason you have to prevent him from committing suicide. Have a look:

Thanks. Ya, I did beat him after I figured out that he won't auto-blind if you pause after 2nd set of attacks on fast, and willow did help a lot.

One thing about the fight is its sudden difficulty. I don't think I'd lost a single boss fight until that. I had died from getting overwhelmed before powering up Igni, but never to a boss. So the other boss fights were 'easy', and this one was 'wtf hard'. I think primarily it was shocking to me, thus the rant! Of course, I was on Medium difficulty as well. I think I will play W2 on hard, as W1 was so so easy after dumping points into Igni.

I love how jacked Berengar is in the cut scenes with his mild voice. Includes Azar Jved with his booming voice that puts the faux hawks in their place. And the mid range lone wolf drug dealers, smugglers are just randomly massively jacked. XD Cracks me up.
