Character unable to move
so, as the title says, randomly (usually after combat though) my chracter will become unable to move until i save, quit to desktop, then restart th game, which is annoying as hell, anyone have any idea how to fix this? (have the same issue in both kotor 1 and 2)

Save+load works. Or turning on Vsync (may make the game stuttery, so I prefer method 1, but most go for 2)

Also try to mess with the graphical options for a bit. If all else fails, try to run it in compatibility mode using the troubleshooter in windows (if you use Windows).

Try enabling V-Sync, that worked for me. If it continues to happen try looking around outside of steam, like on the lucasforums

Not really possible on Peragus though... before getting a party.
Afterwards it really happens less too I noticed.

This happens to me all the time no what "fixes" have been attempted, thus it has lead to A LOT of avoidable character deaths and full party wipes. I love this game but this is just insanely frustrating.

I haven't noticed any problems of this sort except Peragus and Dantooine.
