How is the action like?
Is it like Deus Ex HR where you have full combat controls, or something more watered down?

In a way its almost turn based, though you can enable free movement in the options menu.

You say that like Deus Ex 1 and 2 didn't have full combat controls. *Sighs*

In any case, you don't have direct control. It's more like you issue commands, and the character carries them out.

Pseudo-turn based. Pause and play while in combat to either issue commands or let it just do it's thing with auto attack (I do not advise this though).

Turn based

It's real-time with pause. I don't think anyone here knows what turn-based means.

Reminds me of a certain Torment poll.
But yeah, RtwP. Like Baldur's Gate.

Pretty close to Dragon Age Origin.

Very similar to Dragon Age Origin, The Witcher, stuff like that. The games depth doesnt as much derive from its combat but more from its character and dialogue aspect. That being said, the combat is still satisfying and there are many different feats and abilities to chose from.
