Dread of Night - naval mission...

I don't understand the point of this mission. You have to down 13 ships out of which you can down 12, but the 13th, the big one, it doesn't take any damage from anything you do, so how am I supposed to conquer it? I don't gte it. Strange mission to tell you to do something that can't be done.

The big ship leads you to the other smaller twelve ships. The first time I tried this I started firing at the large ship from the start but soon realized it didn't take any damage. I continued anyway until I saw the twelve ship army that waited for us. We took them out easily but was of course desynchronized by the large ship which started fire at us when the others were out of the way and there was nothing I could do but watch as we were taken down.

The second time I thought perhaps I wasn't supposed to fire at the large ship, so I just followed it until the twelve smaller ships turned up, took them all out and waited to see what would happen, but the large ship started firing at us again - and again I couldn't do anything about it because it didn't take any damage.

Anybody had a different experience with this?

If you managed to take out the larger ship, how did you do it?

This ship can be destroyed as ony other. Either you have a bug in the game, or you didn't damage it enough.

Probably too late, but you can't damage large ships with the single shot swivel cannon. You have to either use Barrage or just go up and ram them.
I just beat the fight where you fight 3 large ships by ramming all 3 of them.
The only time swivel works on large ships is if you expose their weak points after a barrage and hit the white circle but it's honestly too much trouble to bother.

Seriously, upgrade your mast and just ram everything. It one shots.
