Did you activate the console via INI tweaks? If so, revert the changes so you can't use the console.

I didn't and the messed up thing is I'll just be playing and I realized I had saved some game that supposidly opened console as it claims even though I never did that and now I have to start back at a point where I'm not 100% sure if I can still get achievements. Kinda pissed off cause I'm not even one to cheat and it's claiming I did even though I never did anything.

I'm starting to understand the whole 'bad port' thing now lol...

Some have reported that even changing the FOV (USING THE IN GAME SLIDER) from the default has caused this problem to happen.

I figured as much, ran into the same thing and was somewhat puzzled myself

I ran into the same problem. Suddenly got the message while picking up a PDA. Didn't do anything with the console but I was taking screens. So that means if we want achievements we can't take any screens?

I dunno... I went through Doom 3 just fine taking some sick pics but when I tried to do it in the next expansion thats when I got that msg and it was already saved over I think so it might just be the added dlc? I would just be safe and not do it if you care about the achievements.

Well, I restarted the game, loaded a save from before I started taking screens and replayed the bit were you fight for the first time alongside a security bot. The bot survived and I should have gotten the Bot Buddy achievement. I didn't popup however. I am having my FOV at 100. So I will try replaying the bit again with default FOV. This is just silly.

Yeah they didn't really put the BFG edition together very well. But this game was released in 2004, so we have to take all of this with a grain of salt.

Turned out that the Bot Buddy achievement doesn't count in Mars City. It's also in the achievements description. My bad. I played some more and used Fraps to take screens (with another key then F12 assigned) I got the Unarmed Badass achievement. I'm still using 100 FOV, so that settings is not a problem for sure. So for me the problem is solved. Just using Fraps. I already had it installed anyway.
