Graphical glitches during gameplay

Starting from the menu, and growing progressively worse during gameplay, tons of visual artifacts dance about around the screen. They appear as squares that flicker in and out as I move about. An example can be seen in this screenshot:

Processor: Intel Core2 Quad Q8400 @ 2.66GHz (64-bit)
RAM: 8GB
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 280 (1GB)
OS: Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1 (x64)

I tried installing the latest beta driver off of Nvidia's site, which didn't fix the issue. This was also happening in Wolfenstein: The New Order. Possibly an id Tech 5 issue?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
