Ys Origin

So, what is the right order? (Told time)
I think Ys I&II is pretty clear, but what about Origin and Felghana? Origin sounds like it should be played before I&II.

So, which game to start with if you want to follow the told time?

E/:
I guess I just figured it out.
Origin -> I&II -> Felghana

Right.
Originally they were released 1 -> 2 -> oath in terms of story and you can play Origin at any part between them if you wish. For gameplay reasons I'd save origins for last.

Thanks for the help, I think I'll stick to the told time instead of release time :)

If you mean chronologically, as in "which game took place when in the games' timeline" then it'd be Origin > 1 & 2 > Oath in Felghana (Which is a remake of 3) > two Ys games that aren't currently available in English > Ark of Napishtim > Ys Seven.

To get the significance of events in Origin, though, I think you should at the very least play through 1&2 before you play through it, since they are the three games that are most directly tied to the actual land of Ys.

Ark of Napishtim and YS Seven is already released in English on PSP, I own both of them. If you don't own one you cannot play them in any other way. It has seemed to become somewhat exclusive on the PSP for the time being and seeing how YS Memories of Celceta is only coming out for PS Vita I don't think it'll be coming out for PC at all.
