man, just download it and check for youself. there are plenty of youtube videos too.

i'll just say, that it's my favorite mmo for long time. it's not the standart themepark s**t! the d&d system is integrated into the mmo world very well. there are huge ammount of options to create your own unique character!

just try and decide.
If you are looking for something that sticks super close to the pnp I'm afraid you're out of luck. The action oriented style in DDO doesn't mix well with the tradtional D&D turn based rule set.
They take a lot of cues from the 3.5 rule book but it is really its own system.

As far as basics max level is 25 with the last 5 levels being epic levels. There are 13 classes 3 are p2p. 8 races with 4 of them being p2p but the Drow race is easily unlocked for free. Multiclassing and epic destinies allow for insane amounts of character custimazation. It is best to play your first life as a build from the forums or DDO wiki as it is very easy to gimp your character if you don't know what your doing.
R.A. Salvatore's Drizz't Do'Urden series is absolutely amazing. it is the entire game all summed up including maps and all the creatures

Elaborate...
I started playing about a week ago. The server is similar to the Eberon Server under Neverwinter Nights 2; possibly even designed by the same groups. For the most part, this is hack and slash, so if you are looking for a deep, RP experience you're not likely to find it here. Quests can be repeated at 4 difficulty levels, most of the time you will use normal or hard. There is also an elite choice which almost requires you to have a party.

Not sure what you mean by server here, cause obviously you aren't talking about the actual servers... I'm going to guess you might be talking about the setting and yes this is the eberron setting. I think there might have been an NwN2 mod to go to the eberron setting. No Turbine has no connection with the NwN team. Both were dealing with the D&D property though so there will be obvious similarities.

For the life of me I can't figure out what you mean by deep RP experience either. It is the sad truth that the pure RPG has been permantly combined with action adventure elements of a hack and slash. I can't think of any MMO that doesn't go the action route. This game does it better than most, I think, offering none combat objectives with traps and puzzles in the dungeons.

As far as deep goes again with the amount of customization you can build fun and crazy toons in DDO to fit your playstyle. Recently there was a post on the forums about someone building a Monk Zombie.

You can play on elite difficulty once you have beat a quest on Normal and Hard. This game is not like most MMORPGs where you can solo 90% of the game, unless you build your character just for that. Balanced teams and good teamwork are important so I suggest joining a guild or inviting friends to join you in game.
This game has endless items and quests. You wont be bored... It's much funner to pay for it. The level cap is 25. But you CAN TR :) GREAT game! Try it out!

TR?
True Reincarnation, once your character hits level 20 you have the option at anytime to reincarnate him sending him back to level 1 but with slightly boosted stats and a past life feat. You keep all items you had before.
