i'll just say, that it's my favorite mmo for long time. it's not the standart themepark s**t! the d&d system is integrated into the mmo world very well. there are huge ammount of options to create your own unique character!
just try and decide.
They take a lot of cues from the 3.5 rule book but it is really its own system.
As far as basics max level is 25 with the last 5 levels being epic levels. There are 13 classes 3 are p2p. 8 races with 4 of them being p2p but the Drow race is easily unlocked for free. Multiclassing and epic destinies allow for insane amounts of character custimazation. It is best to play your first life as a build from the forums or DDO wiki as it is very easy to gimp your character if you don't know what your doing.
Elaborate...
when can you do elite?

For the life of me I can't figure out what you mean by deep RP experience either. It is the sad truth that the pure RPG has been permantly combined with action adventure elements of a hack and slash. I can't think of any MMO that doesn't go the action route. This game does it better than most, I think, offering none combat objectives with traps and puzzles in the dungeons.
As far as deep goes again with the amount of customization you can build fun and crazy toons in DDO to fit your playstyle. Recently there was a post on the forums about someone building a Monk Zombie.
You can play on elite difficulty once you have beat a quest on Normal and Hard. This game is not like most MMORPGs where you can solo 90% of the game, unless you build your character just for that. Balanced teams and good teamwork are important so I suggest joining a guild or inviting friends to join you in game.
TR?
interesting thanks! :D
