Saints Row IV - Bugs and technical issues thread

Bugs in my open world game? Impossible!! Sometimes something weird does show up in the real world when a game is out in the wild, even after the lab has cleansed the game of bugs for months and months on end.

We tested this game on a wide variety of PC setups, but you cannot test every possible PC setup in the world. Do you know how many possible combinations there are? A lot.

The vast majority of you should have little to no problems in their gameplay experience, but if you do encounter a technical issue or a bug after release, and would like it fixed sooner rather than later, you are in luck! We would like to fix it too, and we'd rather be prepared. Help us help you, so to say!

We've launched quite a few PC games on Steam this year, and have always had a very positive experience with Steam users who want the same result as we do: fix things. Before you can fix something, you need to find out what makes it break, though. A thread like this can be helpful to QA and other dev teams to find that out, so please follow the below instructions if you do encounter a problem.

This is how you do report a problem

1. Make sure you match the minimum requirements listed on the Store page.

2. Describe your issue with as much detail as possible. Maybe this one random thing doesn't seem important to you, but it could be the randomest thing in the world that causes some super weird thing to happen. If you have already tried various things to fix something, let us know as well!

3. Leave as many technical details about your PC as you are willing to share. We understand you probably don't want to paste your entire DxDiag in a comment. But listing these things will help us pin down a possible problem if there end up being any:

- CPU
- Motherboard
- Amount and type of RAM
- Graphics card
- Graphics driver version
- Monitor set up and connection to display (HDMI, DVI, VGA)
- Audio card or onboard audio chipset
- Headphone brand and model if you use headphones
- Anything else you might think is relevant, even if it doesn't make sense (SSD RAID archive setup, a GTX Titan in a PCIe 1x slot, etc.)

4. Don't quote someone's giant comment and add "I have the same." Please cut down the quote a bit so it will keep the thread readable.

5. Please keep this thread dedicated to reporting technical problems for PC.

I'm getting a crash repeatedly during the load screen after completing the "Rescue Ben ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ King" Mission.

Also I have had multiple freezes trying to access a car at the car shop , although delivery by phone seems to work fine.

No other issues yet through 60% or so complete...

Ive got a bug. every time i continue my game or load a save a Keith David audio log plays. its kinda getting annoying.

It's because you're getting shot at. Kill the Zin and such, then it'll stop.

Whenever I crash, it says the Saints Row IV Inauguration Station has stopped working.

Bugs: Went under the map and crashed in fraud (COOP)
Was holding shotgun but at bottom right said I had fists (COOP)
Lag where my friend deleted a flashpoint, he was sprinting non-stop into the thing in the centre, and I couldnt kill anything.
There's more that I can't remember.

Co op doesnt work on boss goes to washington and king me, stuck on loading screen, when i get out of co op it works

It's because you're getting shot at. Kill the Zin and such, then it'll stop.

Go back a few pages and you'll see a video where someone is not getting shot at all. The meter just keeps resetting for no apparent reason.
I haven't encountered this bug myself, however, I am not to that particular point in the game.

(X-Post from main forum:) The game runs fine, everything silky-smooth even on Ultra settings, but I've seen the game freeze up at least five times when bringing up either the Hub menu or the Menu screen ("Back" or "Start" on a controller). The game starts to load up all the (purposely) glitchy transition graphics, but locks up (the music continues normally, for the record). Great game otherwise; thanks in advance for any advice!

It did that to me too, but i killed all the dudes and it still does that to me

I have the same problem, and it's not the Zin, it's some sort of bug or glitch that makes the player repeat the action of disabling the generator without letting go of the action button. I have even made sure that there are no Zin in the area while doing this, and it still repeats.

I'm having the problem that a number of people are having with the game thinking there is an xbox controller and can't pick between the keyboard/mouse and the 360 controller. I don't have an xbox controller, and I have never used an xbox 360 controller. This is VERY frustrating because I spent $45 on this game and so far I have been unable to play it. I'm really starting to want my money back because this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

i cant hear any voices on the cutscenes but everything else i can hear and i can hear the voices sometimes while im playing

I'd like to add me and another friend for people who can't play Ben King or Pierce Washington's quests co-op only solo. Its rather annoying. We tried everything else but those two have both forced us to play solo currently. I'm hoping no others do so but.....please fix this.

I can't even play the game it gets just past the AMD logo then freezes. I can sometimes get past this (randomly) only to get EXTREMELY laggy menu screens to the point where they are near unresponsive, I have so far been unable to play Saints Row 4 at all.

My steam library is saved in a external 1TB Hard Drive labeled as my E: drive may have something to do with it.
ANY HELP WOULD B GREATLY APPRECIATED SO THAT I COULD PLAY MY GAME K THX BYE :D
