Nordic Games are sitting on a tonne of high-profile intellectual properties, all with the potential to produce games that are both commercially and critically successful. That they are being picky with resources is no surprise.
My preference would be for them to sort out the Black Mirror series first -- all three entries are available on Steam but none work properly. BM 2 & 3 are especially problematic, as these are the North American retail releases which only have the English language option and do not include any of the patches from the European versions. (It has to be said, GOG.com has the newest versions of all three games and they appear to work flawlessly.)
Also: Aquanox 3 is coming! As much as I love the first three games (the first entry being Archimedean Dynasty, which was followed by Aquanox 1 & 2), I never thought I'd see the series being revived. Thanks, Nordic!
I guess it attracts all the anime fans because it's got magical powers and giant swords in it, the thread is also full of fan art too, shudder.
I watched some gameplay videos and it looks pretty uninteresting, just another hack & slash game with monsters, terribly generic.
red faction is unique compared other games and no on of the official forum actively discusses it....sad.
LOL!!!! This information is about 3 years outdated.
Someone from Nordic will probably pop into this thread. They have stated a few times here on steam that they are in the planing stages of RF:G2 and almost started it, but decided to hash it out some more and be cautious.
They have said nothing about the general franchise as a whole other than that, as far as i know.
Yes, we decided not to rush into RFG2 but rather do something good to RFG and collect community feedback. I hope at some point in 2015 or 2016 I can announce that a new Red Faction game is actually under development.
2016 is ages away, 2015 would be nice for more hammer time, but as you say it's all up to you guys. Just don't keep us too waiting long...THQ already made us wait ages for nothing.
armageddon was good but not a true sequel.
Thats awesome. Just dont make the next game like Armaggedeon and you will fine. I would build the game from scratch using DX 12
RFG has one of the most fun and unique MP modes i've played and the previous developers flushed it all down the toilet by making the sequel's MP a rip off of Gears of war's horde mode.
If you do a new RF game, particurally one similar to RFG, may I ask for more Guerilla elemnts to it? I like blowing up stuff, but I would like that stuff I am blowing up to affect the game world. It could also affect how people view you. If you go after powerplants and cause black outs, you might be hated.
Ha why don't you then? It's not as easy as you think it is. Besides you don't pay millions of dollars to start from scratch.
Darksiders is a good game and has for red faction has long has its not like Armaggedeon i would be happy.
