Still, I've just completed the campaign, and it was a good 4 hours of fun. It has much potential for a Babel Rising 2.
Also, if it's such a big deal for you guys to be buying games that are multi-platform, you should do 5 minutes of research on Google first to see if it's multiplatform and, if so, how well you think it looks like it will be ported.
Not everyone makes the game you want. They make the game they want and that they think will meet their own goals for distribution and sales. They focus more on the console mechanics because that's where the numbers are (number of players, not just money). I agree with your sentiments, but it's important to be realistic about these things.
If they could even just add the ability to use the same keyboard!

But better yet is LAN over Steam would be really good!!
Plus state "Split Screen" in the store, that clearly states what type of mulitplayer game it is.
