blocking countries

Is there a way to block everyone on steam that doesn't live in germany? I don't want to play against spain or brazil or chinese or russian people.

1) Set your region settings to same region
2) When you start a game, if you aren't the only checkmark, then you probably aren't the host. Back out and try again until you're the host.

Alternatively, you could stop playing, since you are such a racist.

It's not racist to not want to play against people with high ping. The OP very clearly (and from the looks of it intentionally) phrased his/her post to sound as racist as possible, though. Presumably thought it would be funny.

I like to tell people they are racist as often as possible, because everyone is racist. It's human nature. That doesn't mean we don't need to be called out on it sometimes.

Eh, could've worded it better if his intention was to be offensive and try to get shock laughs. The inclusion of Russians (another fair skinned country) makes me not think it's racist. Whatever though, the information he needed was given. Also tempes I don't think racism is human nature, it's learned behavior, but that's not a discussion for these forums.

I'm already using nearby region. No I will not stop playing and I'm not racist, but 300 pingers cause me grief every game.

Racism and bigotry are two separate things. OP is in the latter category.

While OP opened himself up to the racism comments, I'm fairly certain we all knew he was complaining about getting matched against high ping players.

If you only want to play with people who live in Germany, for whatever reason than you play the wrong game, there will be times, when not a single german player except you will be online.
It's just normal for this small community and what wrong with 100 to 200 PING from people living in Europe/North Africa/Weat Asia?
One more thing though, are you doing it just for the PING sake? Or are you doing it for the simple reason to be able to talk German in your matches.
If it's really just for the PING look at the Brazilian Team, who placed 2nd (I believe) in the Awesomenauts Alianware Cup. Also i got lot's of Australians who are in the top 1000 of players. In the end it's all about skill and not PING.
