[linux] editing save files
So, my ruler has the ugliest portrait ever, (probably some random inheritance mechanic in dna that I haven't figured out yet) and, as it hurt my eyes and heart, I felt the need to manually change my savefile.
My question: Is there a gui text editor equivalent to notepad++ that can handle such files? kwrite, kate etc, seem to struggle with them.
(I have tried nano and the other console text editors with success, but I find it awkward and time consuming without some basic gui utilities and visual cues.)
Thank you for any suggestions.

I think Geany is a good alternative for Notepad++. It handles large plain text files with ease.

Agreed - Geany is a good equivalent (based on Sctinilla and so on). Works in Windows as well.
