Medium Crown Authority allows vassals to revoke titles?

Does Medium Crown Authority allow your vassals to revoke titles from their vassals (and wage war over it)? Description says that your vassals cannot fight eachother, But I've just seen Duke of Beja declare war on Count of Evora over his title,

I'm still grasping the fundamentals, so I may be wrong. I think that in this case, only vassals directly under you cannot fight each other.
However, that doesn't apply on a deeper hierarchy. eg, if you rule a kingdom, and have a doux as a vassal, local counts may have that doux as liege, and things out of your control may happen there.

Do you hold multiple titles? I know that if you hold multiple kingdoms you must change the crown authority in each kingdom separately otherwise vassals can fight in that kingdom you didnt change it in

I currently hold 4 Kingdoms, but they all have Medium or High - i've checked it.

Everything more or less works in layers. Barons under counts under dukes under kings under emperors.

You owe fealty to your direct liege lord and only him. In the same way you only pay taxes (if any) to him, which is part of his personal income, which is then taxed by his liege lord etc. Same with levies, which is why you often see a near-empty castle but a full bishopric and city - the mayor and bishop owes levies to their liege lord and him only. The levies you get from your vassal is from his personal levies, and not the levies of his vassals.

In the same way it is the dukes responsibility to control his vassals and not the responsibility of his king. The king cares not what happens at the count level, so long as they are not his direct vassals. For the same reason declaring a war of indepedence from your duke will only free you of your duke, but not your king whom you now serve directly. If you want to escape your king you will need to wage two seperate wars of indepedence - the king cares not that you rebel against your immediate lord, as long as you still fall under his realm, but if you then try to splinter away completely you can be sure he'll bring down the full weight of his divine mandate and wipe you out.

I had 3 kingdoms each with low crown athority and still everybody hated me and I was in a enless state of civil war until my throne was usurped.

Not sure if I have much to tell, I'm just learning this game.
Basically, I've started with Low Crown Authority (Kingdom of Leon), then spent some time pacifying my vassals. If they have opinion around 0, raise it with Chancellor/Honorary Titles/whatever. Have a good spymaster -> discover plots -> imprison vassals who start them. Then you can gradually raise Crown Authority (I needed it to be High to set Primogeniture succession).
The Kingdoms that you create after getting new lands will have same laws as yours.
