Failed to Start Game (Missing Executable) [mac]

The game launcher will not start. I get a notification saying "Failed to start game (Missing Executable).
I have checked support and followed all the instructions on this list.

I have reinstalled it multiple times.

Any suggestions? Steam support is not helping me.

Please help, I have spent nearly $100 and 300 hours on this game. I am at the end of my rope.
