Without a claim or interest in the Iron Throne, Robb declared it for Stannis Baraetheon. Stannis was never grateful for this, instead considering Robb a traitor to his realm for having left it. So Robb continued trying to win the subjugated Seven Kingdom's to his side individually. The Trident was already an ally, being held by his uncle Edmure Tully. Sansa was married matrilineally to Harry the Heir of the Vale, and once the Greyjoy invasion was driven off, the Northern army marched to the mountains to make her Lady Paramount. When Arya was found, she was married to Quentyn Martell, who later became the ruler of Dorne after his sister Arienne died of illness. (The Dornish seemed like the best recipients for such a wild warrior woman.)
Jon Snow died in the first White Walker invasion, leaving Longclaw to Robb. Since he had been able to reforge Ice from Widow's Wail, he had no need for a second Valyerian steel weapon. He bequeathed it back to the Lady Mormont, who weilded it to great effect in battle. Castle Black fell once, but the White Walkers never got any further, facing both the strength of the Young Wolf and that of the Iron Islands, who put aside their raiding long enough to ensure there would be places to raid.
Bryden the Blackfish served Robb faithfully as captain of the guard and Master-at-Arms until the end of his long, long life. Roose Bolton, who served as Master-of-Whispers, kept trying to make war on Dawnforest, but Robb wouldn't have it from him, or later from his son. When Ramsey tortured his household staff to death following his wife's stillborn birth, Robb decided enough was enough. He ordered the man assasinated. The deed was done, but the whole realm came to know of it, and Robb was forever stained as 'dishonorable'.
Robb fell in love with his Tyrell queen and she him. Margery served masterfully in her position as Master-of-Laws and bore Robb 6 children, leaving them all bereft when the last childbirth proved too much. 4 were daughters and 2 were sons, named Eddard and Jon respectively. Luckily Robb hadn't yet handed out the name Rickon, since Rickon revealed himself to be alive and well. To Robb's dismay he would not come back to court at Winterfell. Without Robb's leave he married to the Lady of Sealpoint, but the match was a happy one and Robb found he didn't begrudge his brother for it.
Daenyrs never went to Mereen or Yunkai. She was in Pentos for a while, but later launched an invasion. Stannis somehow managed to capture and imprisoner her, but didn't eliminate the threat to his throne. He opted instead to make her a commander of his army. When Robb heard of this, he thought the North could use the help of a dragon rider in the wars against the White Walkers, and invited her to serve his court instead. She accepted, and with her fire and blood the Dawn was won. Robb arranged her marriage to a minor noble afterward, and together they sailed off to Dragonstone, which she claimed for herself. But during that war Drogon was slain, and her other two dragons had flown off and nested in Qarth, too far afield to tame. Her nephew Aegon never sailed to Westeros, deciding he much preferred the life of a sellsword to kingship.
Once Tommen and Myrcella came of age they were released back to their family in the Westerlands. Tommen's uncle Kevan, who inherited Casterly Rock after the death of Tywin, pressed Tommen's claim for the Iron Throne. The Tyrells fought for Stannis, but when he was deposed the widowed Mace was forced to take Myrcella as his new bride. When Mace later died and Willas inherited the Reach, he married Myrcella as well.
Sansa only had one son, but that was enough to put a Stark on the throne of the Vale, forever binding the realm to the North by dynastic loyalty. Arya had 4 children, each wilder than the last. Lady Catelyn Stark lived to see all of her grandchildren born before passing away peacefully of old age.
