Help With Demo
Hello, I've heard a lot of good things about this game and I want to download it. However I want to play the demo first before I spend the sixty dollars on the five year edition. When I go to download the demo it comes up with the error message that " the game is not available on your current platform". I am running a 2016 Macbook Pro with the current Sierra OS update and the iris 6100 graphics card and so on and so on. Anything I can do to make this work? My fear is that I will buy the game and not be able to play it either. Thank you in advance for any help with this issue!

I read it's similar to an HD 6000, so i would think it should run, but i'm not a Mac expert.

If you want to be sure, submit a request at Paradox support here (no account required the first time) : https://support.paradoxplaza.com/hc/en-us

I don't think the demo was avaialbale for Mac in the first place.
Neither did it ever got updated and is thus no indicator if the current version of CK2 runs fine.

Apart from that you could wait for the next sale which for the five year edition should be 66 or 75% off (of the unbundled full price, so 36 dollars or so or lower), not sure but around that.

That link is for the 5100, not the 6100 and allegedly performance is 20%+x better on the latter.

Thanks for the links guys! Turns out that my processor is a little too slow, I'm running 2.7GHz and need a minimum of 3.0 Ghz., looks like I need to upgrade. Thanks again! much appreciated!

Who told you need 3.0 Ghz ??
It sure helps, but you have a modern processor and it was working even below 2 Ghz just a short while ago, so i'm wondering. 2.7 should be alright.

Did you submit a support request ?
The CK2 tech support guy is a Mac owner himself, so he should know...i suppose.

i mean 2.7 ghz is ok i guess, played around 1000 hours on my old pc that had 2.7. im running 4 ghz and its a tiny bit laggy late game, but thats because ck2 doesnt rlly utilize 8 cores. imo you should just wait till you can get a better pc unless u can handle little-major lag.

Hey! So looking back i actually read the wrong system requierments link and i looked again for CK2 requierments and i should fall well into the playable specs. I did go ahead and submitted a support request and i will see where that goes! Thank you again!
