Stucked !!! I cant defeat boss

I had stucked at the ship . The mission is to find the Alex.
But I cant defeat the boss of all suit of iron.

I knew that shoot him at the head would made him in deadly mode.

My problem is : I can not finish him!!!

I press "F" when I closed to him.

I could not success for the second time press "F".

I had tried different timing !!! But I still can not finish this stupid boss.

Please help me!!!

You have to keep evading his attacks and counter when prompted, then hit him with melee. You need to do this 2 or 3 times.

I havent finish it too.
That boss is early-mid boss.

I had the same problem the first time I encountered him. I found that if I kept my weapons and skills as upgraded as possible then he died much sooner. This meant hunting and looting every animal and enemy I could find. Sometimes I even set a rat trap and killed as many as a dozen in one area. Just kill a rat and hide within sight and wait. They come to feed on their own dead. Also, I found that when I got a better video card ( GeForce GTX 650) the whole game worked more smoothly.

im at the same place and have the same problem. the game appears to be glitched. i can hit him with melee the first time, but then when i hit melee the second time as instructed it doesnt work. ive tried this many times now. i've remapped the melee button, i've verified game file integrity, i've double checked with youtube playthroughs, nothing works. since i can't continue the game, i'm not sure what to do. i guess i'll try again later.

The problem isn't with the game - it's getting the timing down. You have to press the "F" key at the right time and them hit it again when prompted. It can be a little tough at first, but it's easier once you get down the process.

you must push F when the big circle enters the small one, and if game graphics isn`t smooth enough try to focus on the sound

I have found that hold the button down makes it work better, but I did use an Xbox controller so YMMV.
