Tomb Raider Collection

I was about to buy the Tomb Raider Complete Collection, but I already own Tomb Raider (the recent one). So I made a deal with a friend, he gets Tomb Raider, I get the rest of the Collection. So as I was about to made the purchase, I get the message "You already own Tomb Raider, you do not get an extra copy of this game". So no splitting of the Collection? Thats a shame, because I won't buy it, if more that 50% worth of the money is wasted, because I already own that game :/

What do you think? Should you be able to split a collection between friends, when you already own something from that collection? Or just spilt it, when you are just interested in some of it, but not all?

dat sucks, i think u should get and extra copy only if u bought the recent one at full price, but i think the extra copy games are by valve only if i recall

he thought he could get an extra copy but he cant, anyways you guy just buy all the other tomb games separately should be around $7

Was about to buy the items from the collection minus the newest Tomb Raider.... some were as much as 91% off. By the time I went to proceed with the purchase, the items chaned price to only 75% off. So now the total bill is more than doubled.... Maybe I'll get them some other time.
