Headshot reticle dlc - where/what is it?

I'm playing my second playthrough. Got guerilla skin and headshot reticle dlc. I get a diamond shaped reticle when I aim at heads with my bow but nothing special with pistol and machine gun. How do I even know if I'm using the dlc?

I haven't bought any dlc myself, but the diamond shaped reticle IS the headshot one. As to why it only functions with the bow, I'm uncertain, I know that's the headshot reticle 'cause at tier 3 there's a skill to unlock it with each gun.

I think it works for the pistol also, but not quite sure. Yes, that small red diamond is the reticle.

Not worth buying as a DLC, you can unlock that from within game.

I never bought any of the "cheat" DLC, but I suppose you can tell if they're active by looking at Lara's skills at any camp. If they are unlocked and usable from the very beginning, your DLC is installed and working fine.

The DLC does not unlock it for the pistol, only for the bow, I think. The skill Pistol Expert should unlock the headshot reticule for the pistol.

It's a Tier 3 skill you have to unlock it first. It also unlocks the pistol finisher so you can kill incapacitated enemies with a shot to the head. It's really cool!

Sadly, that is true. You can't start again fully equipped. No game+ mode here.

I think that's because the story would be severely altered if, for example, you start with stuff like the competition bow (and making easier an already easy game).

True, the later weapons are very nice. You can compensate by getting the optional rewards and tombs as soon as you can. That way you can enjoy the best gear for a bit more time. It worked for me. (But I'm a natural completionist.)

Make sure you visit the optional tombs as they reward a lot of experience, usually enough for a new skill. Also you get big rewards for finding all the optional items - GPS caches, documents, etc.
