You might also want to provide a bit more information than "on iMac" - Like the type of video card you have and the version of MacOS you're running...
But doing a bit of reading on iMacs and gaming, I have to ask: Have you tried playing any other games? Do they work, or do they also produce a black screen?
Well, I did look at your other Steam games, and they're not quite as demanding as Tomb Raider.
I'd like to recommend, again like GoBucks, to give your specs...
But I'd also recommend going into "options" on the game's launcher and making sure all of the graphics are on the lowest settings possible. Tomb Raider will sometimes just black out video when the computer can't handle the game.
