Is thia game open world?
I was just wondering if it is like skyrim or AC and you can to what you want or it is more focused around the storyline.

Kind of.. It is not like skyrim where you can go anywhere, you have to 'unlock' those places through the story. You can go back to those places, by walking or fast-travel.
There is no real point in going back, except for looking for collectables and stuff.

Let's just say that it's giving you more freedom than your average games would.
Enough freedom that you won't feel "confined" by the game's world.
There's enough optional exploration to keep you busy and make you forget about boundaries.

It's not really an open world game, but it's also not extremly linear. You can explore a lot of areas, but you have to use fast travel, if you want to search them all

it's like Deus Ex Human Revolution hub areas, you can explore parts of area but its not juggernaut maps like GTA , Skyrim or Assassin creed.

I am about halfway through it and I consider it very linear. You can go backwards to old areas, but the way forward is always follow the path to next target point for the most part. Sure the path to the next point might have a high road and low road, but it doesn't make much of a difference except for hunting for collections and items, along with scavanging.

I don't consider linear to be a drawback for most games, and I quite enjoy this game except for the QTE things, which I hate in every game.
