Can't even make it through the bloody intro cinematic without Hitman crashing.

Just downloaded this yesterday and can't get past the cinematic for the first level before the game crashes. WHAT THE ♥♥♥♥. I didn't spend money on this game so it could sit on my computer and not work. Anyone know any ways to fix this garbage?

Yes my comp can run Hitman (granted it's a laptop so I'm running on medium best case)
comp specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 @2.4 Ghz
DDR3 6.0GB RAM
GeForce 9600M GT
-game is installed under x86/steam/steamapps/common
-game is up to date
It has crashed once during the intro level cinematic, and 2x during the cinematic before title screen.

It barely meets the minimum, added the fact you're using a laptop I doubt it will run well, if at all. Has your laptop ever shut off during one of these crashes?

no it has never shut off during a crash. I managed to play the first level with no problems but then the game crashed during the second level's cinematic.

I have the same problem, running:
Intel Core 2 Duo P7350
4 GB RAM
NVidia Geforce GTX 260M

I'm also on a laptop, but it's usually able to handle a lot more than most other laptops (well, my processor isn't much to boast about, but it still exceeds the minimum requirements for Hitman).

Same problem here and NOT on a laptop.. and my PC well exceeds minimum, hell it pretty much meets the reccomended requirements

runs everything perfectly with decent frame rates (BF3, NS2, Planetside 2, this is the only game that has crashed

can understand why above posts games aren't working because they are on the mobile version of there desktop counterparts, but mine?

So I actually got to play through 3 missions and watched all of the cinematics today with no problems until I was going back to the main menu and then it crashed. LOL

i had it crash on the second mission after putting the computer in sleep mode. Will try restarting.

laptop here is acer aspire timeline X, which has had no problems running bigger games like skyrim, or fable 3.

is there no solution?
