Game butchered series?

I'm a Ridge Racer fan. I like every game of the series but this one. First of all, its a ripoff of Burnout with cars crashing into one another. If you to see cars crashing, play Burnout. Second the drifting is tedious. In the other games drifting looked cool. Third no Reiko. And what's a Ridge Racer game without Reiko? Forth, no cool tracks. They just take place in lame ass urban places. Fifth finally the cars from other Ridge Racer games are not there. Avoid this game and play the previous ones instead -_-. Also Driftopia. That one is basically the same thing.

But you don't own the game...

Is it a steamworks game? Or is it possible to own it outside of steam? Perhaps on console?

I do have issue with people who use steam forums to trash games they may have pirated or own on another system/platform whatever...

It was an AAA game released for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC in 2012.

I believe Namco tried to revive and breath new life into their tired Ridge Racer series by seeking a games company outside of Japan. They choose Bugbear games, best known for Flatout 1 & 2, and perhaps not unsurprisingly this games studio produced a game with a feel more pleasing to Flatout fans.

iv played this on stepsons pc and tbh its not a ridge racer game just away to use the franchise its just a flatout clone.... leave this junk alone and demand a updated version of ridge races of the past

The Ridge Racer series was mostly a console exclusive game, I think very few PC gamers have any interest in the game that you want.

The only thing that really annoys me about RRU is that handbrake/power-up/quick-time button.

The original Ridge Racer was boring... this adds loads more depth and realistic racing.
