Simply put, Max def and learn how they attack with the shotguns. I play knight OFTEN and can easily dodge shotguns due to this. Its a good idea to constantly stay moving also, Just hope you dont lose your character to lag like I did this morning.
And if you're not playing a melee class, you shouldn't be so close that attacks are "unavoidable" in the first place.
too late,my 3/8 archer died this morning from the ghost ship because of lag.IM SO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ PISSED MY GOD respawning would be nice.
My take is that shotgunners suck for close-range classes that haven't had a chance to get their def up, but long-range classes should not be letting those enemies get that close.
