How to fix the color change script, and sfmphys

since the last sfm update you may have noticed a few scripts stopped working. after much investigating the reason has been found.

Apparently, valve removed a bunch of files for python those scripts need to work. but not completely,

go to

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SourceFilmmaker\game\sdktools\python\2.7\win32\tcl

copy ALL the files and folders there. then go to

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SourceFilmmaker\game\sdktools\python\2.7\win32\Lib

(basically go back one and pick the other folder) and paste all the files from the tcl folder there.

that will fix the color change script (and possibly other issues as well, but that is unknown). to fix sfmphys you have to do all that, and a couple more steps.

first, grab the newest version from http://sfmbox.com/sfmphys/

then, grab this https://www.dropbox.com/s/qedogo76cvamwk9/phys_simulate.py

install this in

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SourceFilmmaker\game\platform\scripts\sfm\animset

that's it. it should work for you.

i dunno if it works without transfering everything now, but i know i just did the transfer (incase the update borked something, and reinstalled the latest sfmphys version (the one from august) and everything works fine for me.

Despite trying this fix, it didn't seem to fix the cloaking script. I was hoping that would've helped, but it seems I'm gonna be stuck using the proxies.

There is always override materials.

the recent update broke it, again. i can't even get models to accept the rig. untill someone updates it, or makes a new script....

Is it the old "copy things from one folder into another folder" fix again?

don't think so. my files are still copied over from last time.

Eh raptornx01! How can copy all the files and folders on C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SourceFilmmaker\game\sdktools\python\2.7\win32\tcl and on C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SourceFilmmaker\game\sdktools\python\2.7\win32\Lib, at least in one minute or less? Because I can't copy all the one by one

Highlight all of them and select copy?

not that it matter much now as a recent update broke the phys script. :(
