im expected to get a new graphics card for this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ piece of ♥♥♥♥ i call a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ asus laptop
why is this so ♥♥♥♥?
my computer was great untill i got steam
then EVERYTHING went wrong
my graphics card is all of a sudden out dated
i got a whole lot of viruses on my computer
and my whole computer is lagging like justin biebers face is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up
its only using about 25.000 kb as it says in task manager
i now know why those people wer telling me that steam ♥♥♥♥♥ up ur computer

I also have an Asus laptop, but haven't had any problems running SFM on it. What are your specs?

You're kind of in the wrong forum to rant about Steam. But I can tell you two things: One, I really fail to see how Steam could be held liable for your GPU being out of date, or you getting a bunch of viruses. Two, you can't get a new graphics card for a laptop. You need to buy a new computer. And I highly suggest a desktop PC if it's for gaming, and even more so if it's for SFM.

if i got hacked it would not be there now because i got trend micro and it got 7 viruses off appdata

because i didnt upgrade my trend micro
so iv got upgrade and now viruses
but still doesnt explain why my computer is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up..

You must have really jarate'd someone off at Steam to be the only one getting the viruses. :P

False positives it happens with any virus program and steam not often however, that is down to the anti-virus program maker, or you're not updating the definitions often enough etc, Using MSE, Avast and a few others I get false positives with steam once every 8 months if that and that is then down to cork ups with definition files.

There is options for graphics in SFM mostly only to do with Progressive refinement & Ambient occlusion, nothing you will ever be able to do will make the cameras look high quality untill you export it as a final movie.
