Error launching SFM "The program can't start because tier0_s.dll is missing..."
Image of the error[gyazo.com]
"The program can't start because tier0_s.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem"

After clicking "OK" the program launches as usual, so it's quite annoying though not that bad

I really don't want to download the whole thing again, I already tried to back it up, then reinstall, it's a somewhat random error, sometimes I get it sometimes I don't (of course I also tried to verify the integrity of the files and stuff).

Any help will be highly appreciated :)

I had that problem the other day (and it loaded after the error). It went away after the latest update. You could try seeing if there's an update for it, or verifying the app cache under it's properties.

Hey thx for the answer :)
Oh and... Sorry I edited the original post :P
Yeah after clicking OK the program launches as usual but still I don't like the freaking error, it's not supposed to be there, it's a small detail that pisses me off.
Btw I did verify the cache like twice :P

Would you by any chance be running Avast? I hear it tends to delete this DLL.

Hey, thanks again :D
And no :( I'm running Eset Smart Security 4
Sometimes the error goes away, and sometimes it comes back, it is quite random, I have not been able to link it to anything I do

You haven't been playing with or moving Model Decompiler around a bit have you? I was getting the standard .dll error out of mdlCompiler and started moving it around, next thing I knew I was getting the teir_0 error for SFM. I refreshed my steam client and the error went away, decompiled a couple of models and the error came back. Refreshed the client again, the error went away. (Now I see there is another Client update waiting for me to restart the client... Mainly stuff for the Big Picture app)
