So im busy making an entry for the saxxy awards and i need to use multiple maps, So i read the rules and it says i can use editing software, But it also says it needs to be uploaded through sfm. So is there like a way where i can put clips from Sony Vegas into it?

I had ask something similar to that. as I understand it, when you can upload and select the option in sfm you can select the video file itself from there. so you should be able to select the edited video based on what I was told.

Ok thanks, Im also going to look into the element viewer thing, Some say you can use different clips or something

There IS speculation about importing avis based on stuff people have found lurking inside sfm. but as of yet, it's just a rumor. no one knows if it's possible, or even what context the use of avi is.

So maybe the sfm upload thing would be just like a normal upload thing, Where you'd be able to upload any file?

So i guess im gonna have to take a leap of faith and continue the way im going with vegas and hope for the best or something

they say you can use outside editing software. so presumably you should be safe.

no, what I heard was that you can select an mp4 or whatever file to upload, not a save file.

In SFM, go to file, Community, Upload Video to Youtube and Steam. SFM will bring up your computer's video file from where you can get any video file (as long as it's avi, mp4, or mov) and upload it to youtube and steam. So, yes, you can use outside programs like Vegas to edit your entry, you just have to then submit your entry through SFM using the ^above^ process.

When Valve starts accepting entries (Nov. 11th), I assume that they will add a Upload Saxxy Entry button to SFM or something like that. So it will be the same ^process^ but with a magaical saxxy entry button (I assume).
