[Solved] SSAO not working.
So. I reinstalled my system recently (switched from Ubuntu 14.04 to Windows 8.1 64-bit if it matters)

I have every single driver updated. I disabled Secure Boot. Changed NVidia Control Panel Settings. And it still doesn't work. and it worked before (a couple system changes before ;_;)
AO doesn't work both in Legacy and UEFI

Graphics Card:
NVidia GeForce 710M
And because it's a laptop:
Intel(R) HD Graphics

Here are some photos:

(There are no other changes that i made in this box. only these you can see on the picture)

Source FilmMaker seems to hate either Windows or most recent nVidia drivers on laptops. This applies to nVidia GeForce GT 540M too. I don't know why. Either way, going through around 20 drivers or so manually one by one with an nVidia GeForce GT 540M, I couldn't get it to work. All I can advice is going back to Ubuntu if possible, or using a desktop computer or such for Source FilmMaker. Quite unfortunate, I agree.

635M here, either SFM is garbage at scanning drivers or just love Intel in general.

Source FilmMaker loves Intel a lot, but not in general, only as central processing unit. It hates Intel graphics processing units so much it'll use that and refuse to use anything else until it's completely gone, to show how bad it is with an Intel graphics processing unit. I think.

My SFM used NViDiA a lot during my old days but now, since I installed Doom Open Beta Support hotfix that I realize I cant run Doom 4 at all, IT NOW USES INTEL LIKE IT'S NOTHING.

Greatly all source games are affected but not so much as THIS.

My laptop from 2011 used to use the nVidia GPU, then there was one driver update which it didn't like, so I rolled back, and then it used the nVidia GPU again. Then I downgraded to Windows 10, and many months later had issues with USB mice lagging my laptop a lot when plugged in and moved around (despite the touch-pad being just fine), so I formatted my laptop back to Windows 7. From that point on, Source FilmMaker refused to acknowledge the nVidia GPU at all.

Give me a Unreal Engine version of SFM and I'll be happy.

I don't have one.

Fixed it. The problem was:

I installed the NVidia driver BEFORE integrated graphics driver. I reinstalled the system, installed all drivers in the right order and it works :>
Sad that I have a damn dual-chip so I have to buy a new PC...
