Source Filmmaker

Source Filmmaker

Map loading no longer works?
I've been enjoying Source Filmmaker for quite a while now, with 264 hours of making posters and little shorts. But just today I've reached an obstacle. Upon trying to load a map as usual, the program allows me to select a map, but when it attempts to load it the screen goes back to the "NO MAP LOADED" state. If I try again after this the program crashes. I've tried reinstalling the app and verifying the game data, but the problem has persisted. I would sincerely appreciate this problem to be fixed so i may get back to animating. Thanks!

(This is the bug report I sent to valve, doubt I'll get a response but I'd appreciate the community's help on this one too :/)

No they were working perfectly for the first 260 hours that I used sfm.

It's probably my firewall or something, I'm looking into that myself.

That's internet-related.

Well it failing to load the first time and crashing on the second is what happens when a map is compressed. (I don't know if it's the same for other map errors too, but it certainly happens for compressed maps.) You might want to try veryifying cache files instead, though, if you didn't copy maps from Team Fortress 2 or such.
