EDIT: results came in:
Driver Description : NVIDIA GeForce 960M
My previous laptop would list the Intel driver under that field instead if I ran mat_info
Edit 2: Holy man forcing integrated graphics via Nvidia control panel really did fix the white engine window screen (read: particle editor). On the other hand, reverting to the Nvidia driver causes the problem to return.
Also, this would beg the question of why my Windows 10 laptop can run SFM with the NVIDIA driver even though forcing thhe Intel one is a longstanding problem with [Windows 8] laptops.
Anyone with a Windows 10 laptop and a GTX card, does your Source Engine games say they are using NVIDIA drivers when you type in mat_info?
