Pinnacle Station DLC
Hey there. I have FINALLY started to get into this game and am pumped. Love it so far. I got the Bring Down the Sky DLC added to my game, but I am trying to get the Pinnacle Station one on there was well so I have it ready. I have registered my copy with Origin and everything, but it's not showing up. Anyone have any advice or than the illegal route that people mention? I've been googling and can't find one that works yet. If not, then I'll just blame myself for waiting so long to play this game, but would love the full experience if I could. Thanks!

You can try this. I can't say if it is true or not since I already had the dlc years ago.

If you bought or registered your Steam version on Origin then all the DLC should already be bundled in with the game. All you need to do is go to [C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Mass Effect\Binaries] and edit [MassEffect]'s compatability settings to [Win. XP SP2]. Run the game, and check your DLC. Both [Pinnicle Station] and [BDtS] should show up. Additionally, I'm running the game as the Administrator, so if it doesn't show up with the previous step, then do that as well.

You have the full experience.

Pinnacle Station is nothing more than a bunch of time trials with no relevance to the game or the story and no effect on future games or the future story. Believe me when I say you are missing absolutely nothing.

Okay thanks. I watched a couple vids online and yeah, didn't seem like it was something I'd do. haha.
The only thing you are missing is really OP gear and being able to outfit your whole squad in matching Colossus X armor. http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Colossus_Armor
I loved the black and red so much that I made all my armor in ME2 and ME3 black and red.

You can just install Bring Down the Sky using the installer, it works with the Steam version, you just need to have run ME on Steam once before installing.

Then you didn't get the installer from the link I posted just above. That one doesn't need a key.

so when i download it from the link there it should just download and boom i have the BDTS DLC or both?
Kenny32673 Jan 26, 2015 @ 12:37pm
Once you download and install the one I posted you'll have BDtS. The only way to get Pinnacle Station now is to register your ME key on Origin and download ME there.

Apparently you can then transfer the DLC files but I don't know the exact steps since I already owned PS from when it WAS available.

idk if this is illegal but couldn't you post yours so people could download it and get it ?

You mean Pinnacle Station?

It's on Origin (it works with the Steam copy though), which means it needs to be downloaded from my Origin account. Even if I could upload the DLC it requires a serial key.

Not to mention it would be illegal for me to distribute the DLC like that.

wait so if i download the mass effect on origin it automatically allows me to use it on steams version before its done downloading? or do i need to let it finish first

You'd need to install ME1 via Origin. Find the DLC folders and move them. Then uninstall the Origin version so you can install the Steam version again and then move the DLC folders to the relevant folder there. I believe you need to edit a file to get the DLC to show up but I don't know the details on that bit.
