Any point to keeping SCAR rifle?

It's an awesome rifle, but there does not seem to be any ammo available other than what you start with and what you can scrounge off of dead team members. Should I just dump it for a shotgun?

I'm playing right now, and i don't see any reason in keeping the scar. i don't want to give any spoilers away so i'll just tell you that any thing you pick up is better than that thing.

The scar is a better assault rifle compared to the fy71 but scar ammunition is alot rarer than fy71 ammo so dump it for the shotgun

Add a sniper scope and it becomes a better sniper rifle than the sniper rifle.
